Cool Lets Jump Into The June To Do List

Or hop, skip, shimmy, shake, bounce, flop, wiggle or whatever floats your heading into june in a sort of kind of un-natural way boat.
A little early, but that's because June is jam packed with stuff. I mean it's so full of stuff that some of it might burst out the sides and end up in July (probably not but it does make it sound pretty cool now doesnt it) moving on.

Lots of fests, and plenty of outdoor concerts, parties and other good stuff going on so lets dive right in (hey, I didnt use dive in that opening thing but I could have. Who'd a thunk it)

    HOLIDAYS
    June 14th Is Flag Day
June 20th We Honor Dear Old Dad (or dear not so old Dad depending on how old your dad is but chances are that he's older than you) Because it's fathers day. Show dad some love people, show you dad some love.
June 21st is the fist official day of summer (but we start it waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy before that )
    June is Dairy Month
    Seafood Month
    Iced tea Month
    Strawberry Month
    Frozen Yogurt Month

Cool Re: Lets Jump Into The June To Do List

OK, we need a flavor of the month for June. Gonna be tough to outdo straws since they went over pretty big but we'll see hat we can come up with. Once it starts warming up (like today when it's gonna be in the 80's again) we really really need something to us down. Something to help us beat the heat. SOmething cold and refreshing. Now, we could take the easy route and go with frozen yogurt (or frogurt for those in the know) but that's just not how we roll. Of course, we would want to include frogurt in our flavor of the month since it is frogurts month. We need to think outside the box (so if you are in a box right now please step out of it at least until you are done reading this. or not. pretty much your call on this one) We need to think about what makes a flavor of the month a flavor to begin with. What is it that makes us dig that tasty treat the most? Why do each of us have our own favorites? Why did the chicken cross the road? (probably nothing to do with flavors of the month, or was it moving on) I think the simple answer would be that each of us have our own taste buds and those taste buds each have their own favorite flavors. Yes they kinda help us make the decision as to what we think is pretty darn tasty and what is just downright gross. So I think we need to show our tastebuds some love by giving them what they crave the most as often as we can. Of course those taste buds need someplace to hang out and of course when it comes time for the flavor of the month what better place than the ultimate taste delivery system... The TONGUE! WAIT THAT'S IT! It's time to show some love to our lickers and have the tongue be the star! Yes folks, June will be the month of the tongue and all the things it loves to lick. Turn it purple or green or red... It doesn't mind. It just craves some more love. Just put your tongue into it and let the licking begin. (if you need some help, just ask this guy :lollipop: . So there you have it. The Tongue and all it's lickability deserve some respect and we will show it that respect for the month of june. So get down with you and your tongues favorite treat and keep in mind that all chips chunks, dips, dunks, swirls, twirls... you know the rest are more than just in. They are what your tongue wants to get down with this month (and pretty much any other month)

Cool Re: Lets Jump Into The June To Do List

Lot of nice deals going on for the Dear Old Dads (and the Dear not so old dads) in the crowd this weekend, so be on the lookout!
    Here are a few..
The Z Dads Get In Free Fathers Day! 281-4700

The Reds Hall Of Fame and Museum Dads get in for 1/2 price on Fathers Day 765-7923

Butterfly Show at Krohn Conservatory Dads Get In Free On Fathers Day 421-5707

Entertrainment Junction Dads Get In Free On Fathers Day 898-8000

Now I know what you are thinking (or not) but they wouldnt be dads if they didnt have kids so even though some of those places might seem
"kidish" who likes being more like a kid than dear old (or somewhat older than you but not quite old enough to be called old) dad?
